Mr.Tokubei Tanaka (second-generation) began the production of barley miso at the current Kawaguchi and he established himself as a landlord.
*Tokubei Tanaka : Tanaka's head faimily is back to Genroku- era. Founder Tanaka was obtained by branch-nine generation of head family in the Keio era. Tanaka house is from generation to generation, the eldest son has inherited the family estate and succeeded the name ”Tokubei Tanaka” and seventh generations now.

Tokubei Tanaka (Fourth-generation) succeeded the name. (Second generation becomes a guardian and inherited the family estate in the 19year old). He had good business acumen particularly put efforts into lumber business. He was also expanding into politics.
The year 1921
Mr.Tanaka (Fourth-generation) built the unprecedented premium house (old Tanaka's housing). The total amount of construction costs was one hundred eighty thousand yen, (at the time of college graduates starting salary seventy yen). This building has survived (not breaken any) in the Great Kanto Earthquake of September 1923 year.

Mr. Tanaka (Fifth-generation) , in addition to barley miso (jyotaichi) , brewing and sales started of rice miso "Jyota".
He along with the inherit Tanaka Tokubei Shoten, was appointed to a number of officers of the miso industry, have contributed to the development of the industry. Also went into politics and served Chairman of Kawaguchi City Council, Kawaguchi City Councilman, and Mayor of Kawaguchi.

Mr. Tanaka (Sixth-generation), opened a retail store called " Murasaki-ya " in Koenji Station of Tokyo Suginami-ku, just before graduating from university. Not handle the goods as expected after the war , we did not able to deal with miso , but we could sell "Miso-zuke". Then were selling "Miso-zuke", using homemade-miso.
